Welcome to our web site!

The "Camp Lincoln String Band" is dedicated to the preservation and performance of traditional American popular music of the
19th Century.

The Camp Lincoln String Band began as a small group of musicians gathered around a campfire during a Civil War Reenactment with the 25th Massachusetts Infantry Regiment. From these beginnings, members have expanded into areas of performing on historical reproduction instruments, some period instruments and historical research. The group portrays civilian or military costumes in an attempt to recreate what might have been seen in the early to mid 19th Century.
